The House

PRISMÉ begins in Shanxiahu, a place closely tied to the earliest cultivation of freshwater pearls in China.

The craft runs through water, patience, and judgment. A pearl farmer learns that value is not always found in perfect symmetry. Some pearls resist the round ideal. Some hold their own contour, their own surface, their own light.

Three decades ago, baroque pearls were often treated as lesser forms. PRISMÉ keeps a different view: the ones that refused to grow round were not failed pearls. They were simply read too narrowly.

Beauty was never only one shape.

In the eyes of the next generation, the colors were always there — needing no explanation, and no permission.

We don’t gather your light into a single color, or grind your shape down to a standard. We only keep what was already there.
